Hello, I’m David.
I grew up in Sarasota, surrounded by our beaches and islands. Photography became a way to hold on to the people, places, and moments that mattered. More than 30 years behind a camera later, that is still what draws me to it.
On a wedding day, I’m there to help you feel at ease as well as make photographs. I’ll offer direction when it helps, organize the family groups with care, and stay attentive to the little things happening around the big moments.
I work with you on the planning and take personal care with the editing, so your photographs feel consistent from the first preparations to the last dance.

My wedding experience includes the Ringling Museum, the Powel Crosley Estate, the Ritz-Carlton Beach Club, the Sarasota Modern, and celebrations on our neighboring islands. The setting changes; the attention to people does not.
Professional cameras and lighting matter because weddings move quickly. Just as important are the habits that come with experience: preparing well, communicating clearly, noticing what is happening, and adapting without making the day about the photography.
Today I’m keeping my wedding work close to home: Sarasota, Siesta Key, Lido Key, Longboat Key, and Anna Maria Island.

Five good years
as David & Nancy.
Nancy and I photographed weddings together as D&N Photography for five years. I’m proud of the work we made and the couples we met along the way. Nancy now focuses on portrait, animal, and creative photography, while I’m continuing with weddings.

D&N Photography’s archived site announced The Knot Best of Weddings award for 2023 and described it as our second consecutive win. That recognition belongs to the former D&N team.
